Information We Collect
If you place an order and if you choose to register with Atlantic Shopping, we’ll collect the following information from you:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Billing Address
- Delivery Address
- Email Address
- Telephone Number
- Details of the payment method
We only collect this information so that we can fulfil your order with us. When you visit our site we automatically log your IP address, we will not use this to individually identify you in any way.
When Do We Collect Personal Information?

How Information Is Collected
You provide us with information by filling out the forms on the Atlantic Shopping website such as check out and make an account, or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail, or in store. The Cookies on our website remember data about your shopping experience such as recently viewed items and items you have added to your basket. How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used only in the methods outlined below. If you provide a separate billing and delivery address, only your delivery address will be printed on the delivery box and shared with our third party courier.
- First Name, Last Name, Billing Address & Delivery Address
This is used to process your order and payment with the bank. It is labelled on the delivery box of your order, and passed to our third party suppliers and couriers to deliver your order. Once you have completed your order, the option to create a member account will be provided. Your name, billing address, and delivery address will be used to create your member account if you so choose - as per the Creating An Account section below. - Email Address & Telephone Number
We use this to communicate with you about your order. It is passed to our third party supplier and courier to communicate with you about delivery only. If you provide a mobile number, you’ll receive text messages from our courier with delivery updates. Your email address will be used to ask you to give feedback on our products or services, and may be shared with our third party review platform to send feedback requests on our behalf. It will be used to create a member account if you so choose. - Delivery Notes / Instructions
Any delivery notes are passed to our third party suppliers and couriers to deliver your order as per your instructions. - Payment Details
This information is only used to take payment for your order. - Newsletter Subscription Email
The footer at the bottom of our website allows you to sign up for our newsletters if you choose to enter an email address in the field provided. We will only use your email address to send you occasional newsletter emails with offers and updates of our latest products. It will be used for no other purpose and you can opt out at any time by clicking unsubscribe on our newsletter emails. We use a third party email platform to send out our newsletter emails, and we control the emails sent to our subscribers. By subscribing, you consent to the use of your information as outlined above. - Stock Reminder Email
On our out-of-stock products you can click “Email me when back in stock” to receive an email notification when the product comes back into stock. If you choose to enter an email address in the field provided, the email address will only be used to send you the notification, and it will not be used for any other purpose.
We keep essential customer information from successful sales transactions as a legal requirement, and this will be kept for up to seven years. We keep first name, last name, email address, and postcode from any failed orders you make, this is used to contact you to offer help to complete your checkout and is automatically deleted after 6 months. You have the right to request any information we hold about you to be deleted before the retention periods stated above, and you can do so by submitting a written request.
Who Will It Be Shared With
Your order information is shared with third parties if it is required to fulfil your order. We share this information with our third party suppliers, couriers, and payment providers in order to complete your order and deliver the goods to you. The email address you provide may also be shared with our third party review platform to send feedback requests on our behalf, and it will be used for this purpose only. Unidentifiable and anonymised information about our customers will be provided and used by our Marketing, Analytics and Advertising partners but it will not identify our customers. If you subscribe to our email newsletter, your email will be shared with our third party email platform to distribute our email newsletter to you, and it will be used for this purpose only. We will never sell your information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Creating An Account
After you complete a purchase with us, you’ll be asked if you’d like to set up an account. If you choose to do so, the name, billing address, delivery address, and email address you used to place your order will be used to create your account. This information will be used for this purpose only. You will be asked to create a user name and password to log into your account and access your information. There, you can update, delete and amend your account information. We’ll send you details of your order once we’ve received it. Details of your recent orders can also be found in your customer login.
Choosing a Secure Password
When you create an account with us, it’s important that you choose a safe password, and that you update it regularly. Your password should be more than 8 characters, and should contain a mix of letters and numbers, and upper and lowercase letters. Try to avoid using something that could be easily guessed, like your name or your pet’s name.
Stored Information & Security
We take security of your personal details very seriously. We hold an Extended Validation SSL Certificate, meaning the entire Atlantic Shopping website is HTTPS secure and fully encrypted. Your information will be stored securely on a dedicated Amazon Web Services (AWS) server, which we believe to be well protected and in a secure environment.
Data Protection
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018, and consumer legislation to ensure that your personal data is not misused in any way. You have the right to request access to any data that Atlantic Shopping holds about you, the right to request that your personal data is rectified if it is found to be inaccurate or incomplete, and the right to request your personal data to be deleted. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time. To do so, please submit a written request via our contact form on our Contact Us page.
